Fantastic 4
20th Century Fox
Objects that appear
in the film were carefully constructed to represent reality.
The creation of objects such as tires
had inherent limitations that could only be overcome by creating
deceptively similar replacement objects. These scenic replacements
required that the object be made of an alternate material. A mould
of the real object was made from fiberglass or rubber.
This process allowed the objects
to look real to the camera, yet allowed them to be manipulated
in ways that would otherwise be impossible in reality.
