For a movie of the week, this was an ambitious project. Huge pre-production budget. I used real train parts to create the hundreds of styrofoam copies required for the train wreck (we moved them around with forklifts and cranes).
Originals of the male & female art deco statues were carved directly in polystyrene foam, moulded and cast in rigid spray polyeurathane foam, as were all the train parts. All of this was created in 3-4 weeks. They had money, but no time.
